2 Cafés in Malang Where Adorable Animals Will Heal You!
Talking about cafés, Malang has so many kinds of cafes. Ranging from cafes that only sell various kinds of coffee, cafes with the 'instagramable' interior or exterior designs, there are even cafes filled with adorable pets!
Imagine you're chillin' at your home, brewing a coffee or tea, munching french fries or pisang goreng while playing with your cute pet you love the most. I'm pretty sure you will really enjoy those moments and time goes fast as you enjoying it. If some of you may want to have cute pets like dogs and cats but you are never allowed to keep them, or if you want to experience how it feels enjoying your coffee and meal while playing with pets, these cafés are the best choice.
1. Pawvilion Dog Café
Shoutout to dog lovers! Chillin in the café while playing with dogs is indeed exciting. Well, Malang has a place to hang out with a dog café concept. Let's check it out!
Greeted by Adorable Dogs
When you enter this café, you will be greeted by various types of cute and adorable dogs that roam throughout the room. They even welcome you from inside the café's door while you are still outside the café! You can immediately see them because the café's door is transparent. And chill, these dogs have been trained and their health is very good. There are so many types of dogs here, such as the tiniest Chihuahua, the naughtiest Beagle, the most handsome Siberian Husky, the cutest Corgi and Pomeranian, the wise Golden Retriever, and many more. Moreover, you are allowed to bring in your own puppies or dogs. However, their health will be checked first. As long as they are healthy, not lousy, docile and not aggressive, they will definitely be allowed to enter.
And most importantly, these dogs have a very minimal smell. All dogs are well-behaved, calm and not aggressive. The visitors also feel comfortable near them. This cafe is kids friendly too. I saw some families who bring their children. The staffs are also helpful and friendly. The dog trainers don't mind even though I asked for photos many times.
Areas
This cafe is divided into several areas. Dog areas are divided into 3 types: indoor, semi-outdoor, and outdoor dog areas.
In the indoor dog area, you can enjoy your time playing with dogs while eating your meals and drinks in an air-conditioned room. This room also provides a cute playable swing. We can say that this corner is the most popular corner for many people to take pictures, and this corner is also one of the iconic corners of Pawvilion.
Feel freezing in an air-conditioned room but still want to play with dogs? The semi-indoor dog area is the answer. In this area, you can still play with dogs while enjoying your meals, but this area has no air conditioning. Additionally, this area is very close to the doghouse. So, you can see directly the dogs entering and out of their kennels.
Basically, the outdoor area is the dogs' playground. As you can see from the photo above, there are various kinds of dog's play equipment there. This area is located at the very front of the café, so you will pass this area the first time you enter the café.
For those of you who are curious about this café but have any allergies to dogs, the dog-free area is the solution. Here you can see the dogs without having to touch each other directly because the indoor dog area and dog-free area are separated by glass walls, so you can see them from the outside.
Serve the MSG-free Menus
Not only raising dogs, but this café is also very concerned about the quality of food they served. Uniquely, this café is committed to serving preservative-free food, or as known as MSG-free. So, you don't need to doubt the quality of their food. About the taste, hmm .. I give it 8 out of 10!
Their menu price ranges from IDR 12,000 - IDR 85,000. Quite affordable, isn't it? My favorite is the pancake! Very chunky and fluffy. You can add delicious ice cream for the toppings.
Moreover, one thing you also need to know is that there is one rule they give for each visitor, which is there is a minimum order of IDR 30,000 if you want to play with dogs in the indoor room.

You can feed your own dog you bring there or feed the Pawvilion's dogs by order dog food products made by Pawvilion Dog Cafe. With the label Benji’s Dog Essential, this dog food is raw food with three variants, namely beef, chicken and a special menu of senior dogs over the age of 8 years. Raw food itself is claimed to be better for dogs than a portion of dry food which is usually sold in supermarkets or pet shops. The reason is that it is the original food of dogs in their original habitat. For their own raw food products, they start at IDR 27.000.
Overall, this dog café is really recommended to visit. The dogs are cute, friendly, not aggressive, well maintained and the air circulation of the cafe is also good. The food is also delicious! If you want to play longer with the dogs, you need to come on weekdays (other than national holidays). They are open every day, except Tuesdays.
